Eneida Lombe Tavares

Her work is a complex universe
of tradition and modernity. Her range of "Caruma" vases is a prime example. She also expresses her passion
for angolan basketry. She has made a name for herself on the European scene,

Eneida Lombe Tavares has won us over with her inventiveness and contemporary approach of these two techniques.

Eneida Lombe Tavares (Barreiro, Portugal) graduated in object design from ESAD.CR (2015) Leiria.

She lives and works in Caldas da Rainha in her own studio, and since 2016 she has taken part in several group exhibitions across Europe, Brazil and Cape Verde.

She also works in non-profit cultural projects dedicated to design and the arts. In search of a dialogue between Portugal and her countries of origin, Angola and Cape Verde, she uses as a permanent exercise in her creation materials such as craft techniques from these countries and other rituals.
